D'antoni is my favorite coach because of all these stories.
Free flowing run and gun basketball. It'd be one thing if it didn't work, but he's a proven, successful coach in the NBA, coaching players to play the game the way you want to as a kid.

Lin is a actually a better player than he gets credit for. He's been placed in a lot if systems that didn't fit him or the coach didn't utilize him.
When he was in Charlotte, they had him coming off the bench but he was the main focal point for the second unit. Was avergiving 15 pts and 6 assists. I really liked the chemistry he had with Kemba and Kemba actually trusted J Lin.

Because Amare didn't want to play at the pace that Lin played at. He liked Lin (according to D'antoni) but Lin's pace would mean he'd either have to train harder or play less time. Melo just didn't like Lin because he stole spotlight from him.
